Feeding Time

If you know me, you know I like to eat. Well, I like to "snack." Mommy says I would snack all day if she let me. When it comes to actual meal times, I really prefer to just throw food on the floor and make a big mess. It's truly an art form and I am the best at it.

One time, I was "eating" dinner and had some mashed potatoes to play with. I smeared them around on my high chair tray and with one big swipe, everything landed on the floor. Mommy came over (yelling something about not throwing food on the floor) and started picking it all up. She always does that when I throw things on the floor. It's really fun.

So, when she bent down next to me in my high chair, I decided she would look a lot better with some mashed potatoes in her hair. I still had a big clump of them in my hand and her head was right there so I thought she wouldn't mind. I smooshed that big old clump of potatoes right into her hair. At first, I thought she would get mad because I think I scared her, but then she started laughing and went to show Daddy the great job I did smashing those mashed potatoes in her hair. Daddy thought she looked great and laughed, too.

I usually get pretty messy during these art sessions and I have to go straight into the bath after dinner. At other times, Mommy just cleans me up the best she can (I don't make it easy since I hate it when she wipes my face and hands) and sometimes has to change my clothes.

I really like to eat though... Here are some of my favorite foods:

Cheeseburgers... mmmmm...

And, I LOVE barbecue. We went to a Spears Family Reunion a little while ago and Daddy let me chew on one of his ribs. It was sooooo good, I didn't want to let it go!

A couple of weekends ago, Mommy and Daddy took me to a place they really like called Firehouse Subs. I got this cool fireman hat and they gave me another one of my favorite things: Cheetos!!

And finally, dessert. This is what happens when Mommy lets me feed myself chocolate pudding...

I know, I made a huge mess that time. But, NONE of it ended up on the floor! I'll have to do better next time.

Jax

Punkin Pants

All week last week, Mommy kept talking about wanting to take me to the Punkin Pants.  She would ask Daddy a billion times if we were going to the Punkin Pants this weekend and tell me how much fun we would have at the Punkin Pants.  I was starting to wonder if Mommy had gone a little crazy over this whole Punkin Pants thing.

Well, we finally did go to the Punkin Pants this weekend, two of them actually, and it was pretty fun!

The first one we went to was just a small one by Nana's house.  It was just me and Mommy and Nana.  There were so many punkins to look at!

Okay, that last one is not actually a punkin.  Nana called it a "gooord" or something like that, but I thought it was pretty neat looking.

And I, of course, had to see what one tasted like...

It wasn't very good.  I don't recommend it.

After all that punkin inspection, Mommy said she wanted to take a cute picture of me on the hay bales with all the punkins, but this is what I thought of that:

So, Nana and I went to play on the soccer fields while Mommy chased us with that camera thing like she always does.

The next day, we went to a HUGE Punkin Pants Festival!  There were so many more punkins and people and things to do!  And, of course, more punkins and goooords to taste!  (They didn't taste very good here either, but I had to try.)

I even got to ride in a little wagon while Daddy pulled it.  That was so fun, I hope Mommy and Daddy get me my own wagon soon!

I started trying some cool, daredevil moves while riding in the wagon and Mommy got nervous...

...so she found one with rails on it so I couldn't do much more than just sit and ride.

The punkin pantses was real fun this weekend, but I think I'm about punkin'd out!

Boo x 2

I got a pretty bad boo-boo the other day when I was leaving daycare. I wanted to go down the 2 steps outside the door all by myself even though Mommy was trying to help me. But, I lost my balance a little bit and fell forward right on my face! Owie!

Check out my battle wounds:
It hurt a lot when it happened and it really scared me! I cried a lot and I think Mommy was a little scared, too. She didn't like seeing me tumble down those steps! Don't worry though, I may not look pretty, but I'm doing fine now and still up to my usual antics!

Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

It was a gorgeous day last Saturday. Mommy and Daddy wanted to get out of the house for a little bit that afternoon, so we went to the park down the street from our new house.

It was huge! And there were so many kids there. But it was still fun.

I rode the little white horsey...

...and on the swings...

...and ran around and climbed on anything I could!

I enjoyed my trip to the park with Mommy and Daddy...

...I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures.

Football

I know, I know... it's been a while since I've posted. But, we're finally done with the move and things are settling down a bit now. So, since you are all dying to know what I've been up to, here's the latest.

As I said in my last post, I went to stay with my Nanny and PawPaw last weekend while Mommy and Daddy were moving all our stuff into the new house (which I LOVE, by the way!). Nanny and PawPaw took me to my very first football game! My cousin, Destiny, is a cheerleader (and a darn cute one at that!) and she was cheering at a game last Saturday.

It was really fun. It was a good thing Mommy packed a green shirt for me, too, since everybody was wearing green. I got my face painted and got to climb all over the stands (which I'm sure made Nanny really nervous). PawPaw even took some pictures:

Don't I make a good cheerleader?

The best part was when Nanny shared her SnoCone with me! Man, that was good. And it was so cold, which was nice since it was so hot out that day.

Uh oh, is that an unattended SnoCone I see?

Later, when we got back to Nanny & PawPaw's house, I tried this football thing out for myself. It doesn't seem so hard.

Mommy says I could be the next Tony Romo, who ever that is...

Hey, Nanny! Go long!

Well, I better go hit the showers and head to the crib.

Thanks for reading.

Jax

Boxes

I finally found out why Mommy and Daddy have been putting all our stuff in those boxes: We're moving to a new house!

Mommy says we'll finally have a yard for me to play in. I'm excited about that. But, I'm also a little sad and scared to leave the only home I've ever known. I think Mommy is a little sad, too, since this is where she and Daddy watched me grow up over the last 15 months.

We're all ready for a change though and now I'll have more space to run around and play and Mommy says she won't have to worry about making our downstairs neighbors angry anymore because I make so much noise. In the new place, I'll be able to stomp around as much as I want!

In the meantime, we still have a lot to do to get ready for the move. I've been helping as much as I can. Just look at what I can do:

*Mommy says to tell you she apologizes for the bad picture quality, but her camera is already packed up and she had to take these with her phone.

Oh, and the best part about this whole thing? I get to go stay with my Nanny and PawPaw while Mommy and Daddy do all the hard work of moving! I just LOVE going out there. Nanny gives me cookies and PawPaw takes me to see the cows and chickens and the horse!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I am so excited about moving to my new house! Hope you can come visit me when we are all moved in!

Love,
Jax

Lazy Sunday

Sunday was a great day. I woke up extra early because I knew it would be a good day and I wanted to get started. Daddy got up with me while Mommy slept in for a little longer. I really like that time with just Daddy in the mornings.

After Mommy got up, we all played in the house for a little bit before I had some oatmeal for breakfast. Then, I took a little late morning nap.

After I woke up, we all got dressed and went to our favorite place for lunch: Norma's Cafe. It's a really cool place and the food is so good. Mommy says it's a 50's style diner, but I have no idea what that means. Every time we go, there's always people coming over to our table just to see me and tell me how cute I am. Like I don't already know that! I love all the attention though.

The nice lady who sat us at our table gave me a big piece of paper and some sticks to play with. The sticks are all different colors and Mommy called them "crayons." Daddy showed me how to put them on the paper and make colored lines, but I was hungry and tried to eat one. It didn't taste very good though and Daddy took them away from me after I took a bite of the blue one.

I had chicken fingers and french fries with ketchup for lunch. I love ketchup. I'd put it on everything if Mommy let me. In fact, I love ketchup so much, I think that's mostly what I ate for lunch.

I made a big mess while I was eating, so we had to go back home so Mommy could change my clothes. When we were done at the house, we got back in the car to go to my cousin's house. They were having another birthday party!

My cousin, Trey, is 2 years old now. He's older than me, but only by 10 months. I'm almost as big as him! Can you believe that?

I had fun running around with the kids and Trey even let me play with some of his toys. He's so nice and I have fun playing with him.

You know what else? We had MORE cake and ice cream at Trey's party! I can't believe it! Cake and ice cream 2 days in a row! I just love cake and ice cream and Mommy is so nice to share with me. Daddy didn't want any though. He said we needed to go home and "pack" some more. That must be what they are doing with all of those brown boxes.

So, we left and I fell asleep in the car again on the way home. When we got home, Mommy and Daddy started "packing" while I tried to help. But, Daddy said taking things out of the boxes was not helping.

After a little while, Mommy got my dinner ready and I ate some pasta and chicken and peas. I wasn't really hungry since I had too much cake at the party, so I just threw my food on the floor and banged on my high chair tray. By this time, I was getting pretty sleepy again. Mommy took me to the bath and I got cleaned up and ready for bed.

It was a good day and a good weekend.

Jax
